Keeton came awake with a cry, his limbs flailing as he fought off
an invisible attacker. Heavy, muscular arms wrapped around him,
causing him to panic and freeze in terror.

Keeton s tensed muscles began to relax as Logan s soothing voice
washed over him. He melted into his lover s embrace, clutching at the
front of Logan s shirt. She bit me, he huffed indignantly.
I know. I m so sorry, Keeton. Logan eased him away and
looked directly into his eyes. His jaw clenched, and a fierce
determination blazed across the harsh lines of his face. I will never
let her near you again. I swear to you.
I know you would protect me with your life. Keeton wanted
there to be no doubt in Logan s mind that he understood exactly how
much the man loved him. I would much rather it didn t come to that
